    Hello all,

Ok this is how it all started. When I bought the car, the fuel guage on the instrument panel never worked.... until one day it started working again.... well temprementally anyway. Then all of a sudden, both the fuel guage AND the coolant temperature guage stopped working altogether!
I'm stuck with this one. Would really appreciate anyone's input. Cheers

Unsure if there is a fuse for the gauges, but have you checked all fuses with a voltmeter to ensure they're ok?

Hi there - thanks for the reply,

I've been over all the fuses (just now) with my voltmeter. There are two fuses for the instrument panel / guages. The fuses are all ok!
I noticed that when I turn the key in the ignition. There is the slightest of very slow movement in the needles of the coolant temp. and fuel guages (maybe 1mm or less).
I'm hoping that this indicates that the instrument panel works ok! With that little recognition of it being powered up.

    Strange thing happened,
The coolant temperature guage has just started working again. It points to 90 when it should. Just scratching my head over the Fuel guage now.

    Temp guage stopped working again.
So, I ordered the part and have just fixed the problem by replacing the sensor (Part number 059 919 501A 4 pin green). All's good with that fault now.
