So decided would be best just to let the dealer do my oil change. Cost £122 for oil and filter change but means I get a nice VW stamp in my book!

Any way, when I left it in they asked if I wanted anything else looked at and I said the clutch makes a bit of a noise half way through. It's always done it from when I bought the car 9months ago. I hate asking about silly things like that cause it's normally nothing to worry about.

It's just as well I asked. They said the noise is coming from the box. When they reported the issue to VW they have requested that the box be taken out and stripped down to find out what is wrong. Depending on there findings will determain whether VW will replace or repair the box. Apparently VW have never seen this issue before, hense wanting a full report. Just my bloody luck!!!

After a weeks holiday went down this morning to see the car in bits! Thankfully though they have found a problem with the gearbox, and VW have agreed to send a full replacement box! Unfortunatly it was out of stock in England so it has to come from Germany! Will be Wednesday before I get it back bit hopefully all will be well again.
