MMI restart problem

media 2 is the ami ipod unit in the glove box next to the 6 disc changer

if you get a second hand unit or new unit, you need to run a mmi sw update to bring the replacement unit to the current level and no doubt the mmi needs updating any way

Sorry for the delay!

Mate went nuts and took it to audi. 2k later and it is fixed. They said they replaced the whole system!
Don't think they did but obviously can't prove it... Mate wasn't bothered as he needed phone working for his work (he was bothered about the cost though!!!)

Anyway, 5 months on and I am buying it as his A7 is finally ready. Hopefully last I shall see of this fault. I suppose I could claim against the 'new' system if it fails any time soon.

Sorry it was not better news as I see a lot of MMI issues on here
