Mr Barnes is a legend! My local dealer used him to retofit Bluetooth and USB Interface to the TT when we bought it. I haven't been on that other forum for a while - I guess it may be worth a shot.

    Cheers!

Done! I have posted a question on there to see if anyone with a US car can confirm that Bluetooth HFP connection and onboard sim can be used simultaneously. I also posted a link to the promo video on Youtube showing the two signal indicators. Let's see if anyone replies...

    Cheers!

I would have, A8, but it was a new car and the dealer organised the retrofit (along with rear parking sensors). If/when I ever need anything similar in future, you will be top of my list! The TT is going this Friday, to be replaced with a Ford KA (it's a long and sad story) but if I ever get a new VAG car needing retrofits, I will take a drive over to see you.

    Cheers!

I've got rSAP working pretty well on my phone/car.

The only issue which it does not cover is the contacts directory. rSAP looks at the SIM contacts and not the iPhone Contacts.

So I have online services and Google Earth. It must be said that the online services are not fantastic. But it is useful to do Google searches through to the Nav system.

Can you give a little more detail please kennyh? What version of iPhone is it and what did you have to do to get rSAP working? We are all waiting with baited breath. Thanks

iPhone is 5.0.1 and I followed the instructions on another thread on this forum.

I had to jailbreak the iPhone and purchase / install the rSap app from Cydia.

I set "Reject 7816 APDU's" to OFF in the RSAP server settings.

It takes a little bit of tweaking. But now I just get in the car and it will connect in a few mins.

Google earth mapping is then active and I can do online searches which work most of the time.
