    Hey guys,
I bought the aux in kit from VW and installed it my self as I did put my iPod kit in myself. I've wired it in and stuck everything back together but when you press the cd button twice it comes up with "NO CDC". I have the rcd 300 with the silver buttons and the official kit from VW.
    Any ideas?
    Dan

Take it back and get a refund, then order a Connects2 CTVVGX004 adapter £30 from Dynamic Sounds, works first time.

Sorted mate. I just had to put a different code in the radio. We had to trick the radio into thinking it had a cd changer. £10 from an independent or £50 from vw. Robbing bar stewards!!!!

I thought that might be the case, well for future reference the CTS2 unit works like a charm, straight in and all good to go, sound is good as well.

Hi Daniel, can you remember what it was you had to do to fool the unit into thinking the CD changer was attached? I intend to homebrew an aux in cable.

    Cheers

Hi guys, I've also got the rcd 300 and have just bought the connects2 aux adapter. I thought i could just follow the instructions and get it to work but i dont understand where it is telling me to put the black wire? I think its the 'earth cable'? Sorry I dont really know what im on about, just wondering if someone could help me out. The diagram just shows it going into a small black hole on the back of the headunit.

    Thanks,
    Alex

Hi mate, i seen that you had the same message as me a while back about the 'cdc'. I read that you found someone to give you a code for it? I dont suppose you tell me where you got your code from? I have just installed the connects2 aux adapter and its showing 'cdc' when i press cd twice.

    Many thanks
    Alex

    Eh up Dilber,

I went to my local independent VW garage (not a *******) and asked him to have a look at the settings on the vag com. He had to change the code for the radio to tell it that there wasn't a CD changer "CDC" and there was now a AUX. my code was in my manual but the software gives you a "chat bubble" that gives you a guide to what you have to change. The garage should know what they are doing. It cost me £10.

    Hope this helps.
