Intercooler pipe popped

2.5TDI AEL. Became slow and smokey - really smokey!

Turns out that the hose from intercooler to inlet manifold has split. Fair enough after 221K / 15 years really. This shouldn't be a big deal - except that it is a dealer only part and they take FULL advantage by charging a highly unreasonable £103 for it. It's only 13" long and not even a crazy shape. Not exactly plentiful on the SH market either......

So if anyone has one, P/no. 4A0 145 746C, or knows of a source at a more reasonable cost, I'd really like to hear about it.

Btw, the last letter in the part number is important. There is also one ending "E". It also is intended for the C4 2.5TDI, but is in fact the the other (turbo to intercooler) hose. Guess how I know this....

might be a good idea for you to buy a bit of silicon pipe that is the same diameter and roughly the same shape and stic that on. Have a look at Roosemotorsport website, they are really good and will help you out alot.
