Instrument cluster

Hello all me again!

Another quick question, my rev counter was stuck and random at best, I've taken it apart and the gears are crunched on the tiny stepper motor in there, can I get s replacement stepper motor or a dash that doesn't work, can anyone help, if I swap with the speedo stepper motor which is identical it works ok, it's. 1999 1.8t b5 Audi a6

Since you seem to know what your doing, i would suggest getting a
second-hand cluster and swapping the motors. They go for about £30.

Thanks for your quick reply, I've looked and I cannot find a cluster from anywhere under £150 even the breaker yards don't seem to have them,I think most of these vag platforms must share the same stepper motors, dont really fancy buying a whole new cluster for a £3 part
