if you want to see it, search for Passat Antenna Unit (or similar) on ebay in the closed listings section. It never sold! Seller name is pauly_t

ps: the crimped connection you see is the earth lead. it is an active antenna so power is delivered via the central wire of each coax cable.

I'll post it off tomorrow to you, you should have black clips that the unit will slide into, and the connections will set in the pre determined gaps in the antenna housing. Just confirm that you do have the crimped earth wire that;s connected to the roof of the passat - I won't need to supply the one that came with the antenna unit in that case...

I saw 1 crimped black cable so I think I'm good. I assume the antenna cables are identical and that it doesnt matter how they are connected? I just hope that this part will get the radio working!!!

Yes it does matter which way they are connected. They are colour coded for a reason. get them the wrong way round and you'll not get AM. That's the easiest way to tell!!
