    Default VW Audi Interchangeable Towbars? – 12-04-2011,01:01 PM
    HI everyone, have a quick question I was hoping someone might be able to answer.

    I have an Audi A6 2003 estate, my wife has a VW Passat 1998 estate. We have a towbar on the Passat but need one on the Audi instead. We are very short of money so can't afford to buy a second one, and since these cars are very similar I wondered if the towbar can be swapped to the Audi.

    Does anyone know if the fittings are the same and if it can fit the Audi too?

    I'd have a look on the towbar manufacturer sites and see if the parts numbers are the same, e.q. Towsure, Towquip, Witter, etc.
