Hi just had brake fluid alarm on .Level on min,so topped up to max 200ml. Checked all calipers, flexi hoses underneath . No leaks. Then found fluid in plenum chamber.thought it could be from servo or m/cyl.Cleaned chamber out,got the wife to pump brake pedal while i looked for leak .Looks like pipe leaking somewhere behind battery. Two pipes come from m/cyl then dissapear behind battery .Fluid seeping from under battery onto base of chamber.Any ideas. Is it a replacement part.Looks like battery will have to come out first.Iam running Passat 1.9 TDI sport estate 1997 AFN .

    Any help wellcomed Cheers Joey

Why was the fluid not leaking out of the drain bungs and onto the floor. The bungs (2) may be blocked. One under the battery one under and behind the servo. You need to take the battery out. I do not recall any joints/couplings behind there just the two pipes going accross, through the bulk head to the ABS pump. Regards Peter

There's also another pipe that goes down a bung-hole to
the clutch slave, check if its leaking at the master.

    Regards
