considering a 2.0 140 sport estate

Hi guys, considering getting an 2.0 estate 140 sport. Most I've seen are dsg. Was getting excited at the prospect but have been reading reviews on other sites an it isn't scoring very well. Was looking at spending about 7500 on a 06/07 with about 85000 miles.

What are the known faults or issues.

I like the spec of the sports and the seats so what is the better model / engine to get.

As much info as possible would be great.

Seen people mention pd engines etc. What's that all about?

PD = Pump Deuse (sp?)
CR = Common Rail

VW changed to CR engines mid 2008, so it's recommended to go for a CR engine by all accounts on here?

Do not go for a PD engine, nothing but problems for me. Injectors x 1, new oil pump, new turbo, tyre wear is appaling

Other than that car is a great size, looks good and has a few extra toys on the Sport model

Would I buy another.....NO (but thats my opinion)

Does the 2.0 170 sel suffer from the same complaints as the 140 engine
