    Found inside driver front door when dismantling to resolve window regulator problem. What is it from? Where to refix? Any help appreciated.

    Unless you show a picture of it, it's probably going to be hard for someone to make an educated guess as to what it is.

    Looks very primitive and robust ( I would even say maybe out of a brake shoe set ) Anyway here it is

    Thank you A4 Lad, as I said, it was lying in the bottom of the door shell when I got the interior panel off. I thought interior door handle return spring but the handle seems to work ok, as does the exterior handle. Just dont want to get everything back together if this should go somewhere!!

    Hope someone can identify......

    To be honest, if everything is working, I would go ahead and build her up. You might find that the spring is off an old handle that was replaced

    OK, so it seems no-one recognises it so will put everything back tomorrow and see what happens!!
