    Hi,

I've just put a Sony CD310 CD Player in my 2002 Polo and whenever I turn the car off and take the key out, next time I put the keys in the unit will have lost all its memory, I've verified all the connections. Is this a "feature" of the polo, or will it be a dodgy connection somewhere in the car? The manual says that the yellow cable is used to keep the memory active, and I've made sure that looks fine. Is there something simple I am overlooking before I start metering the connections? My old Pioneer unit didn't do this but I don't know if this had an internal battery to keep the memory active.

    Thanks

What loom did you use or did you simply plug and play ?

What you might have to do is reverse the red and yellow power cables (permanent live vs ignition switched live). Some loons will have connectors in line of these two cables for this very purpose i.e. so you can swap them over.

    Hi,

I pulled the wiring loom off the old radio and put it on the new radio and that seems to have fixed the problem. I thought it was a specific loom to that radio.

    Thanks
