I noticed that the low fuel warning ( yellow fuel pump symbol ) is not working properly on my 2002 a6 tdi. The symbol appears without audible sound when low on fuel and I have noticed the symbol "blinking" every few seconds, everything else is fine, the service interval check and the few other checks are all ok? What can be wrong?

    Ok,
Just to update the matter, I have noticed that the lights left on warning chime is not working, along with the "service interval display" does not seem to be counting down, as I have already covered 500 miles and the service indicator remains at the same mileage, 9300 miles til reset?I am concerned that although the check button, when pressed will check through the water, oil, temp, brakes etc. it may not give a reading or warning when something fails ?

The car was scanned by a mate of mine who works at VW and the car needs anew dash, however everything except the gong and chime is working, so, considering the cost, it can wait.
Would have expected a little more response from this forum.
