    Hi All,

First post, so please be gentle!

Just picked up my secondhand 2012 Golf 1.4TSI Cabriolet (Yes, I know - it's December!), which is fitted with a RCD310 head unit, two-zone climate control and parking sensors (are these optical?).

I had a TomTom GO6000 in my last car (a 2009 Golf 2.0 GT) but am thinking about buying a built-in SatNav unit and retaining the DAB function (although I've never really been bothered with DAB - FM is just fine!)

Price is the main factor, but I see there's a retro-fit organisation in the Bournemouth area who has offered me a RNS510NAV/DAB for £1200-ish. Although it's not brand new, it will come with the latest maps (v12?) and 2 years warranty.

Would this be a better option, given the Kenwood isn't compatible with Factory Bluetooth preparation (I don't have voice control for the phone installed), Media In or the USB slots/AUX IN options?

They're about the same price, but I have some reservations about the second-hand bit.

The RNS315DAB/NAV unit is a little cheaper, but this doesn't appear very common.

I do like my toys, but there does seem to be far too many with the Kenwood. I'm not going to watch DVDs or listen to a million channels - Radio 4 mostly, and Radio 2 when the Archers are on 4, or my iPod. It's more about the phone (iPhone 6) and SatNav.

I would appreciate any feedback, though!

    Thanks,

    Pete

Never mind. I decided on the RNS510DAB/NAV, which is being fitted on Thursday.

I'll let you know how it goes!
