My Match 1.4 was supplied with an ashtray in the centre console - I don't smoke and would rather have the space for storage. I've seen a picture of a Mk 5 insert in lieu of the ashtray with a cover and a 12V supply. Presumably the same item will fit the Mk 6? If so, how do I fit it?

Odd, I have a cover and lighter in the space beside the ashtray, I would guess all you need to do is pull the ashtray out, that would leave a small illuminated space for ?????
not sure what you could fit in there

I'm not aware of an option for this on the Mk6 - there was nothing listing int he original accessories brochure or the Golf sales brochure i had. I don't remeber a 'non smokers' option when i ordered either.

Givent he part sharing with other VAG cars it may be worth looking at a Skoda Accessories brohure, maybe for the Yeti and Octavia in case there is anything that would fit there.

I don't know as I was given it. But it was an easy job.

Let us know if you get hold of the ashtray replacement.
    I wouldn't mind one.
Golf Match 2.0 tdi 140 Bluemotion tech, fogs, folding mirrors. Reversing camera didn't make it, so enjoying DAB.

Other motor is a Nissan Pathfinder.
