what oil goes in front diff??

am going to change the oil in both diffs on my 1997 2.8 quattro...

rear diff should take GL-5 75w-90

does the front diff take the same??

Front diff is shared with the gearbox, takes 75W-90 also but GL-4 only.

Gear oil VAG number G 052 911 A1 or G 052 911 A2, SAE 75W/90 (synthetic oil).

I use Red Line MT90.

Thanks Crasher, exactly what I'm using in mine, the MT-90 in the front box and the 75W-90 version of it in the rear diff.
