Just curious as to what everyone else is using. I use

Liqui Moly 5W40 Fully Synthetic Top Tec 4100.

From what I can gather its a good spec oil anyone know much about it?

I use GM Dexos 2, because it is cheap if you buy 4x5 litre (£48)

Note that this oil is not VW approved, just stated as meeting the VW specs. The Liquimoly is approved.

I used a variety, from castrol edge to Fuchs Titan until I met TPS and their wonderfully priced Quantum - ~£5 a litre/£25 for 5

They have a walkthrough section to match the oil to specific model etc and recomend the correct oil as per VW

They are doing 25% off weekend at the moment i use them all the time mine is 19 pd tdi and i always use fuchs titan gt 1.

They are always good and with money off you cant complain and being a member here also gives you an extra 10% off

    Regards

Another thumbs up for Quantum Platinum. Just bear in mind it's not good for longlife service intervals

    Change my oil/filter every 5k.

10k is a MAXIMUM mileage change interval anyway. Would never buy a car S/H that has been on the Extended Mileage Regime.......designed to placate the 'greens' and the fleet operators who trade the cars and can pass any problems on.

Extending the life of your engine is about as green as you can get!
