I have Conti Sport 3s on the rear and new Firestone F1 Eagles on the front, bought a couple of weeks ago (good price deal at National: just under £300 the pair incl balancing, fitting, laser aligning, etc.).

All tyres 235x40x18. And all at 36 PSI, 1 PSI above what Audi recommend on the tyre pressures sticker (here's a pic of the one on my car: https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...541#post624541) - seems a common pressure judging from other comments in this thread.

Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas all round, on my second set now. Run them at 40-42psi all round (3.0 TDI quattro, S-line), got 19k out of the first set and they were only down to about 3mm...changed them as hit a pothole in one so decided to swap all four. Cost me £422 for the set, fitted.

Fantastic tyres, can't speak highly enough of them.

I thought Audi recommended 32 PSI ?? mine are 235/40/18 and thats what the sticker on side door and handbook says.

Having looked around the market it seems tyre prices have gone up from a year ago. I mean last year I paid £135 all in per tyre for Goodyear Eagle F1 A's at Bracknell tyres and now they are £150. I know VAT went up but not by £15 per tyre.

Im now looking around and it seems Falken FK452 and ZE912 are the best buys from Camskill.co.uk being £94 and £85 respectively and seem to have good write ups on tyre reviews too.

Just stuck FK 452's on mine and cannot fault them so far. Ordered through Camskill too. Know quite a few people who rave about them and for the price you can't argue to be honest.

Budgets a buit tight at the moment with new house purchase so have gone with Falken ZE 912 at £84.50 plus delievery charge £2.95 ill get them fitted at a local depo for a tenner.

I usually go premium but hope the Mid range sway me as they are £100 cheaper than Conti 3 and PS3.

Audi's recommendation for 235/40/18 is 35 PSi according to the Audi sticker on my car - https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...541#post624541

That's for reinforced (XL) tyres; maybe it is 32 for non-reinforced?

I will check again today, however my last 3 tyres sets the Fitters told me it was 32 PSI and mine are XL?

Just had a read of the sticker for 235/40/18 ZR XL

The tyre pressure for 3 people + luggage up to 100 mph is 32 PSI

Tyre pressure for 3 people +luggae over 100 mph is 35 PSI

And fully loaded over 100 mph its 39 PSI
