Possibly a daft question....but....

I've a bit of what may seem a daft question.

I've an A4 Cab, but no user manual. What is the variable storage box that people often refer to? I've tried Googling but only seems to bring up posts with problems - not describing what it actually is.

The area that the roof folds down into is referred to as the "storage box" (well it is by the little screen in the dash when I try and put the roof down without the storage box lowered!). I guess it could be described as "variable" as it can be raised and lowered depending on whether you want the roof down or more room in the boot.

Ah right, thanks for that - will have a look at it tonight then. Is is a simple adjustment or not something to really tamper with?

I finally got to pull the lever last night :-)
I'd not pulled it at any point with not knowing what it did, just resisted temptation each time I went into the boot.

Anyways, turns out that it doesn't work :-(
The lever moves across but doesn't move the shelf. It can be lifted by hand and stays in place - but not by the lever.
