Yesterday i changed front control arm bushes rear x2 with aluminum casing and front wishbone bushes x2 and anti roll bar drop links x2.

I noticed my anti roll bar bushes looked worn and had some slight movement, went to VW parts today and they do not list anti roll bar bushes separately as replacements only sold complete with anti roll bar?????

Called Euro car parts they also do not list the part, searched on line and only poly available?

I find it amazing that this bush is not available via main dealer or other, can anyone shed any light if you have experience in this repair?

    Thanks.

They are definaltey available for earlier cars. I got some for my 2001 A6 for a few quid. I looked on ECP website and they don't seem to stock any suspension parts hardly for the B6.

Looks like you may have to go poly.

Just had a look, seems it is a complete unit. Did they give youa price on it?

    ....... I stand corrected

The anti-roll bar is about £100 from VW including mounting bushes. They don't do bushes on their own as has been said.

My old 2002 polo need the bushes replaced and they said they could only do it by replacing the whole bar. Poly ones will be far better for you anyway and will last longer.

Do you think changing the roll bar bushes is going to be easy?

I bought the powerflex ones and one day soon i will try and tackle it but some poeple say its a pig of a job. Not sure if i really need a garage ramp to do it or if i just jack it up and look.......

Why did you change the other? It wasnt creaking bushes was it? If so did you cure it?

Its an easy job. No need for a ramp, but you will need axel stands. Also make sure you jack up both sides, otherwise you will be fighting against the weel on the ground and will be hard to move the ARB.

Hey everyone. Just did my anti roll bar bushes and the two big bushes either end of the lower swing arms on front. And the bloody noises have gone! I used power flex bushes for all and the biggest nightmare was getting the old ones out and new ones in.

The original anti roll bar bushes are crimped together with a crimp bolt. The back of this can easily be drilled out leaving the threaded nut.

I think it's crazy they won't sell the bushes on their own, they wear a lot more than the bar does itself.

Replaced the ones in my Seat Ibiza and from memory there were £1.90 each from Seat.
