Rear LED Lights Retrofit Problem

I have a problem with my rear LED light's which were purchased from an audi dealer and fitted a couple of years ago.

i dont know how long this problem has been going on for, but i think it may have got mixed up with another problem.

with the ignition on and the lights switched off, i get the following flashing sequence from my rear lights every 20 secs or so.

1) RH outer and RH inner together
2) RH inner
5 sec pause
3) LH out and LH inner together
4) LH inner

with the ignition on and the lights switched on there is no flashing of lights observed

in recent months the outer left rear light has let water ingress, and i beleived this was causing the problem. however, this light has been dried out a couple of times and sealed, but the problem still exists.

any ideas appreciated

This is a long shot but, who fitted them? If is was not Audi did they code the car? It needs to be set to Highline for them to work correctly.
