I currently have my EGR disabled by removign the vacum pipe to the valve. Is there any problems associated with this? I have read that this can cause higher exhaust temperatures and damage the turbo seals.

Also is there any point blanking off the exhaust inlet into the EGR valve or will removing the vacum do the same thing.

I would like to take the valve out altogether and put in a straight pipe but the anti shudder valve is on the same unit so not really a good idea.
