I'm looking to confirm if anyone is aware of any modifications to the 2.0T SE 220 (DTM) over the standard 2.0T?

The SE/DTM version has an upgrade to 220BHP via ECU remap & 300lbft torque over stock 200bhp & 280lbft, i cannot find out what other upgrades if any have been included ie changes to cams or timing, air induction etc?

The brakes were upgraded although these appear no larger simply cross drilled, however, i did notice test driving back to back the SE was more difficult to lose front wheel traction when provoked at a junction exit in the wet even with the extra power - so were there any new trick diffs or electronics playing a part here etc. Any info appreciated

The engines are physically identical. Its just an ECU massage to liberate the (up to) 20ps increase.
As you stated the brakes are drilled on the front (same physical size - 321mm).

S.E models do have different DTM type suspsension over the standard s-line. I think this is only shock absorbers.
There are also some small 'shiny' items over the S-line. An S-line badged steering wheel and S-line sill kick plates. Why the standard s-line does not have these is weird.
Spec.Ed petrol models (and DTMs) were assembled by quattro GMBH, not Audi, for some reason. Probably practise for building RS4s..

I have a fwd model and it does still amaze me how much grip is available from the front wheels. Tyres play a big part I.M.O. My current Contis are so much better than the old Goodyears I used to have on. Both models have exactly the same ESP/ASR, so the difference is not anything electric.

Bumpers are only different on the DTM model. Spec.Eds have standard S-line bumpers, but more often than not the (**** to clean) 15 spoke DTM wheels.

Excellent information thanks. I agree with what you say about grip, i have a newish set of P Zero Rosso's on mine & they are very soft & grip superbly, although I suspect they won't last too long.

I agree with the contis, my prevous A4 1.8T Sport has Conti Sport Contacts which were excellent & i stuck with them from new.

It appears the B7 SE had Dunlop Maxx Sports on orginally as the spare is unused, so it may be worth trying those at some stage also to compare. Agree wheels are a nightmare to clean haveto see how it goes, any tips?

Your car seems fully loaded with extra's, there seems to be limited info available on thismodel, again never sure what was standard fit or optional, amongst others I have an elec sunroof, heated seats and a fridge!
