A3 2001-3 diesel or petrol?

Hi,

I am interesting to buy Audi A3 year 2001-2003, I can't decide petrol or diesel, I don't want have problems with car so .... I would like to ask for your experience with this car..

I think you may have to limit your options on which engines......

if i was you... the 1.9TDI 130BHP lump is a good choice... or the 1.8T..

i have the 1.8t a3 and its a good car but it drinks the petrol average is about 30mpg , 0-60 time is 8.1 seconds and the 130bhp tdi is 9.2 seconds and will average 52mpg

Depends upon what running costs. MPG is fairly different but if your low milage get the 1.8T. So cost and milage would be a deciding factor.
