1000 miles on a tank!!!!!

can a remap on my Volks passat year 05 1.9 dti auto bring my 500 miles on a tank to about 1000 miles.

Or even better is there a kit that gives me a go faster button that affects the on board chip to go to 140bhb with a press of a button like the new cars of today

that's perfect world, optimistic figures. Hardly realistic to say that it's capable of the 1000 miles per tank. Although one can hope

My understanding was that economy figures were gleaned from lab testing. If I'm wrong, let me know.

Real world figures differ wildly because of external factors such as road surfaces, load, weather, traffic, etc etc.

i think there is a simple answer to this one. if you want to do 1000 miles on a tank get a bigger tank.

strictly speaking MPG is irrelevant to the question you posed.
