What is the cambelt change interval for the 1.9 TDi and 2.0 TDi MK5's. Both are manual and will be one of the earlier models, up to 2006.

Personally I would recomend 60'000 or 5 years as a good rule. The timing belt interval may be 80'000 but will your water pump last till then ? Thats why I would say 60'000 or 5 years

The interval for pre 2006 in 4 years or 60K miles later versions of the 1.9 are 80K or 4 years. But i would stick with the 60k as £400 is better then a £2K + engine rebuild

Well, as we have both advised. They are past their stage of needing replaced so your on thin ice

I dont have either, I am looking at buying them, thats why I need to know the intervals.

So are you correct Bangor Lad or onzarob?

I think you both agree on 60K but is it 4 or 5 years?

Im confused as both of the vehicles have over 60 k on them ?¿
To clarify, the vehicles require their timing belt kit & water pump replaced at which ever comes first. Distance or Time. In your case, both are over 60 k so Distance is the reason that they need replaced
