Just type MMI 2g high DVD into eBay and you'll see a few that come up.

Only one on at the minute is this unless I've missed some - Genuine Audi MMI 2G DVD Sat Nav Disc 2013 - Brand New & Sealed | eBay

There are older versions that appear regularly, just keep checking.

Make sure they're putting the disc into the drive in the boot, on the left hand side behind the removable panel - not anywhere else.

Thats the one I got. The price of (current) genuine ones doesn't vary much. Note that you may find that the DVD nav drive is "locked" to prvent the disc being stolen. If it is (ie you press the ejct button and nothing happens) then you'll need to find someone with VCDS to "unlock" the eject function to allow you to change the disc. Also recommended that you have the car running when you load the new disc, and it'll take a few minutes to update to the new maps.

Thanks for the info, I'm sure it won't be locked as the garage put my disc onto another car they had sold, before I had viewed the car , robbing Peter to pay Paul.,

    Rab,

Personally if they've taken some weeks and haven't come up with the goods I'd buy one yourself after getting them to agree to meeting half the cost.

Appreciate you don't know which version was fitted, so although their fault get them to meet you halfway, so if it's costing you £200 ask them to stump up £100.

    Seem fair?

They will be paying for the disc as it was part of the agreement of me buying the car, to be fair the sales guy I dealt with has been off for a week, I called them today and they have asked for a few more days to source one, which is fair enough. I didn't know the bloke was off. I have sent them a link to the eBay one chris posted. I'm sure they will come up with the goods. I'm just an impatient bugger.

Have been considering buying an up to date Sat Nav disc for an 08 plate (2G High) but can't justify £200, what's the likely risk with a non-genuine one? Has anyone tried one from <removed> is much more my price range but obviously it's not worth even that much if it doesn't work.
