    Hi All,

Having now replaced my Bluetooth Module with a brand new exchange unit from Audi and got the optical bus back up and functioning I am going to try and update the firmware to 5570.

However having trawled the forum their seems to issues ahead, I can handle Battery Manager & Speed Warnings - there is a load of guidance to be had on that. But is there anything else?

Is there a definitive guide out there to inform what codes / adaption values I should record prior to doing the upgrade so that post upgrade I can simply reinstall those values?

Plus I have another question. Reading through the threads it appears that Disks 1 & 2 of the three disk set are solely for the Bluetooth. Having as I said just replaced the unit and it works, do I need to run disks 1 & 2?

The VCDS output for the telephone module is

    Address 77: Telephone Labels: 4E0-910-336.lbl
    Part No SW: 4E0 910 336 M HW: 4E0 862 335
    Component: Handyvorb2 H16 1130
    Revision: 00000000 Serial number: 00000005088996
    Coding: 0010920
    Shop #: WSC 00000 000 00000
    VCID: 2C5C8146F663
    No fault code found.

    Thanks in advance.

I did the update. After reading around on the web I connected the battery to a mains charger, remove all CD's from changer. Insert Disc1 into tray 1. Run Update, remove disc1, insert disc2, run update, run update again, remove disc2, insert disc3, run update.

Then either learn to live without battery meter or re-enable it using Vagcom.

Disk 1 actually updates to 5150, I think. Disk 2 is for bluetooth, and from memory needs to be run twice. Disk 3 actually gets you to 5570. Although you may not need the second disk, I'd apply it anyway - it can't do any harm if it is not needed.

It is possible (I did) to do the upgrades while driving to save hooking up to a battery charger. To do all three takes about 90 minutes.

I'm also considering doing this upgrade to my 2007 Le Mans.

I've read about it screwing up the bluetooth as well - will mine be OK?

I don't think anyone can guarantee that, but my bluetooth was OK afterwards and if anything the upgrade should improve bluetooth (although in what way is not clear).

Hi there I was wondering if you could instruct me how to re-enable battery meter with my VCDS.
    Thanks for your time

    Hi platypus,

I found some instructions in the thread "Re: MMI High version 55.7.0 - error occurs"

These allow you to enable the Hidden Menu, from which I was able to get the Battery Meter back.

    The instructions are as below........

    For battery level use:

The easiest way, at home is to use Vag-Com and do the following:

    Connect VAG-COM
Select Control Module "07", Click on "Adaptation"
    Select Adaptation Channel: 08
    0-Hidden Menu Disabled
    1-Hidden Menu Enabled
    Enter value "1"
    Click "Test", followed by "Save"
Close & reboot MMI by pressing "Setup" + "MMI Control Knob" + "Upper Right Selection Button" (all together)

Press "Car+Setup" together until hidden menu appears, takes about 5 seconds

Then scroll down to Diag Settings and press enter

Then scroll down to Car Menus Maske (this is how it is spelt on the UK MMI) press enter

The find Battery Level and press enter

Scroll down the the bottom and press Accept Changes

Press the return button 3 tmes to return to the front screen

Close & reboot MMI by pressing "Setup" + "MMI Control Knob" + "Upper Right Selection Button" (all together)

    ****************************************

If you don't want the hidden menu you can just go in and replace the '1' you added to Adaption Channel 08 with the original '0' after you have the Battery Manager back.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi All
I'm back on the MMI update trail after a miserable first attempt where the VCDS cable failed and have had to wait for a replacement. So, I'm now wondering, if as I have read the AC and Trip Computer can also disappear during the update, how to get them back? I realise this may be kids stuff for some but it's all like black magic for me.

    Regs 2 all
