Tow Bar

Morning Y'all.

so i found out my avant has an Audi fitted tow bar tucked up under and in the rear bumper. very well concealed. trouble is, i've no idea how to get the tow bar out?

I'm assuming when it folds down it brings the electric hook up with it as there is no way you'd get a connector into it where it is at the moment!

Also. i noticed a sticker saying max load 85kg ... i'm assuming that's a direct downward load rather than a lateral load? otherwise you couldn't tow much with an 85kg max load ...

Hi G,

It looks like you have the 1D4 option - check your option codes - it was £750 as a factory option in 2010!

I've not got said option, but my manual covers its operation - so I've scanned the pages and attached them.
