I got up this morning to find someone had completely ripped off my drivers side door mirror ... and when i mean ripped off , its snapped the metal bracket.

Upon finding this I then attempted to open the car , and found that my key fob no longer works ... i have checked all fuses and replaced the batteries with new , and also checked all contacts in the key fob , but still no joy .

Is this purely coincedence or could the damage done to the door mirror have caused this problem??

    Thanks in advance ....

Vehicle is GOLF MK4 2000 GT TDi

It is to much of a coincedence not to be related.

They could have pulled/stretched wires from anywhere inside the door.

Unfortunately ild say its door card time off for you im afraid...

Wouldn't you love to just catch them doing it....I can't even write what would happen to them!!!!!!
