    Just gone online to look at next year's quote - £549

    Is it worth it or will I get a better buy with one of the non-dealer warranty company's?

    Sorry if this is in the wrong forum....

    Quick question. Does the Audi warranty include Audi Assist to get you to the nearest Audi garage? Looking at getting a warranty myself while I wait for my injectors to fail! ;-)

    Take it your car isn't a Quattro? Mine was £749 with roadside assistance, comprehensive with unlimited mileage.

    I've just been through this recently with mine and eventually chose Warranty Direct. Not only cheaper but can still use Audi main dealers to have any warranty work completed (you pay a premium for this, but after they phone and we negotiated I got it for the same price as a non franchised dealer quote). They also seemed to cover more items, and would cover additional non-covered items if they were damaged by a covered item (Audi one doesnt). Also they cover parts which are identified as worn out during MOTs or Servicing (obvious exclusions to worn consumable parts like tyres/brake-pads, clutchplates etc etc).

    Havent had to use them yet, I have read a few good things about them on here (and your bound to read some crap ones too).

    Food for though????????

    By changing the excess from £100 to £250 the quote comes down to £440 with breakdown assistance

    I used Warranty Direct with my failed turbo- they paid up but the process you go through to get the claim authorised is very frustrating- I think they only have 5 claim advisors as I was speaking to the same few people.

    There was a severe lack of communication between Audi dealership and themselves and I felt like the middle man all the time even though they are supposed to talk to each other through the one-link system.

    I was told if I had the Audi Warranty the claim would have been processed a lot quicker, but yes it is a bit more expensive.

    Also the payout decreases dependent on your mileage- I think I got 80% parts 100% labour as my car was over 75k miles.

    So, if warranty direct and audi offered a warranty at roughly the same price as each other which would you go for?

    Audi = £440
    WD = £474

    I went for Warranty Direct as Audi quoted me £700+
    Had they quoted around £400, I would be with them.
