I was afraid of that. If I were you I would drain and replace the filter and oil.

    Thanks for your replies guy's.

The oil drips on the ground ( a small patch) when parked overnight. Its definiately oil and not fuel.

Was told to use this engine oil leak liquid. It does no harm to the engine so I have been told.

The main thing is there is no smell of fumes anymore. just need to stop this little leak.

I cant belive you say that its time for auction man..... Why would they produce these sort of oils/dye's etc to resolve these niggling issues.

Are you serious that I need to drain the oil again ?

    Thanks

Yep get it out. Your next post could be that the front or rear crank oil seal has swollen up and has ripped itself apart and you have dumped all you engine oil on the road. Sorry. Regards Peter

LOL. I meant its used by unscrupulous people to get a car sold, not at
    your car.

The inter-web is full of warnings against these oil additives..

'Smart' use of it would be to run it in an engine for about 40 miles and
then drain it, hoping it would stop the leak without having done any
harm. But that would only be for any hard-to-get-at oil seal, on a
car that's not worth spending much money on, (again not yours!!)

    Regards
    Jim

    LOL - Ok cool.

    Anyway problem sorted at last.

Fiest it was the cover gasket to get rid of the fumes. The leaking oil was from the oil sump which has been fixed now. Oil flushed and put some new PD oil in from dealers. The guy also serviced it and cleaned engine with a cloth to get rid of some of the oil stains.

ALl in cost £140 but problem has been sorted for both fumes and oil leak including a service.

Thanks again for your input/advice guy's.

    Much Appreciated !!!
