    I currently have a golf mk3 1.9 tdi GL. im just wondering if i could put a vr6 engine in my golf and what would need replacing etc?

    A friend of mine did this, but he took out a 2.0 16v gti engine, and replaced it with a vr6 storm engine. There was a fair bit of work, you need to add an engine mount which gose in the middle just behind the radiator the have to be changed also you might have to uprate your breakes, he did not have to in his gti cause they where big enough. This is because of the extra weight.

    Personally if i was you i would sell the tdi and with the money you where going to spend on the engine convertion put towards getting a vr6 then you will have all the extra maybe leather seats, A\C and ABS

    id have to agree with the above, unless you absolutley love the mk3 you've got at the moment, sell the tdi, put the project money with the cash from the sale and find yourself a mint VR6

    they're yummy
