Hey all, as some of you may know I have been having problems with my drivers door window.

    The issue?
It will go down via the drivers door switch but will NOT go back up this way, although it will go up to a full close using the "global close" feature.
I'm no tech, but thsi to me suggests that the motor is ok and that there is another issue somewhere. I've heard of the plastic clips breaking?
Anyhow, I've did a little research and foud this vid that looks quite helpful and wanted to share.

Mine is going tothe dealer and will be replaced under warranty, but i thought it looked interesting and it may help someone else

Iam fairly new to both Audi cars and this forum. Links like this save £s which seems like a good idea when you own an Audi.

    Thankyou!

Hmmmm..............now seem to have a similar issue again.

The window will go down in one shot lowering mode if the button is pressed briefly and also up if the button is held .....but.....the one shot closing on the drivers door is inoperative?
    All the rest seem fine??

More annoying than anything else...............need to do some research but not coming up with much........any ideas?

    TIA

There is a TSB with something similar to your description ... I'll PM you a link ...

I had a sorta of similar issue and it was only the drivers side that it happened ... I just kept using the switch constantly and give the armrest a bit of a whack ...

I'll start by giving the arm rest a whack or two and see how that goes for me before I look into it further.....Thanks!

Just checked your Thanks / likes..............I swear the forum is outta whack as you've only got something like 800+ thanks and 700+ likes, I know I've gave you at least that...lol

I'm having the same issue on my A3, new switch required. A fault will also be logged regarding a defective switch pack.

A couple of others have had to replace theirs, just pop the door card off.

No fault codes, just out of control. Passenger window is also odd, goes down but not up.

Does it work fine from the passenger side switch? If so, then just a new drivers master pack thing will be fine, only buy genuine, don't be tempted by the lower priced Chinese copies on eBay.
