    Hello,

    I am just wondering if someone could advise which is right tool for removing of pulley from alternator:

    Either

    T50 torx: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Alternator-Pul...item255eae1954

    or
    M10 spline:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Laser-3307-Alt...item43a5027842

    Alternator is VALEO, car AUDI A4 1.9TDI AWX engine 2002 B6
    Audi TT 1.8T Quattro 225 - Sold , AUDI A4 1.9 TDI 130 AWX - now

    The only real way to find out which is fitted is to check. If you remove the plastic end cap with small screwdriver and then use a small mirror( Wife's ) with a torch you should be able to see whether the shaft socket has a 6 point recess ( (Torx ) or the 12 point recess ( 3 square or spline ) .

    It was an excellent idea . I need T50 torx, thank you for your help.
