I understand that the system is actually 2 bottles. I can't fill the top one above 1/4 full or it just pours out from the inside of the wing. I can't imagine that its a motor, since they are way below the level that it settles to. I thought that it was the joint between the bottles but that is also below.
Has anyone got any experience of this? I'd like to get the parts before I pull it apart.

P.S. Its the system without headlight washers.

Mines the same, its got a nick in the side, its had a new front wing at some time before my ownership so I'm guessing it was done then,I just tolerate it.You may have frost damage from the hard winter,if you take it out you may be able to weld it.

These bottles can be mended with the resin (and hardener)
    from a fiberglass repair-kit.

I don't think that polyester resin bonds well to polypropylene, and yes I can take the wheel arch cover off and look, but I was hoping for the voice of experience so I didn't need to do it twice.

    I'll report after the weekend.

take the liner out, see where the leak is, leave liner out until parts are sourced, replace damaged parts, refit liner, job done once.....

For more experience than these posters, you'll need to hear a
    voice from beyond the grave!

Polyester resin will bond well with polypropylene, provided you don't exceed
the recommended percentage of hardener, which can result in excess heat that
in turn melts the polypropylene . I've successfully carried-out this exact repair many times, as it's a common result of front n/s prangs, (along with
the inter-cooler getting twisted). Its cheap, easy, effective and sits on a
    shelf .

    Jim

Took the liner out, filled the bottle .... no leak. What might have been happening is the water was draining from the top tank in to the bottom one, which made it look like it disappeared.

Put the liner back - job done.

The strainer from the fill hole has gone missing now!
