Front passenger side really creaky, apparently split bush. Anyone out there had the same problem. Apart from payingout £150 any suggestions. Want to sell the car now and the noise is same (tried wd40).

You need to spend the £150. Mine went last year and the car failed it's MOT. They're consumables- no different to brake disks, you just have to replace them.

bush is about a tenner from gsf, and changing them makes a whole world of difference to the car. I would change both (left and right). Its not that bad of a job, there are quite a few write ups.. google is your friend

I did both of mine myself... all you need is a strong bench vice and something to press the old push out, I made a metal collar, did the job just fine.

Really common fault. there is now a moddified bush. make sure the bush has 4 supports instead of 2. If they try to give you a bush with only 2 supports dont take it or you will be doing the same thing again next year.

Not to bad to replace but you will need a tool to press the new bushes in. all you need is a threaded bar and 2 round plates just bigger then the bush.

if its the rear wishbone bush replace with the seat solid bush 6ll part no
they make a big difference and dont go again
as for £150 it not the easiest of jobs as you have to take off the alloy brackets to do the bush
and front wheel alignment should be reset

Just had this done - book time is 1.2 hours so ought to be about £100 all in - for both sides.

yes thats just for the bush to be replaced
the front wheel alignment must be done as an extra part of the job
thats camber and track if its done correctly

thats very true - the tracking was an extra £40.
Actually it was a tyre wearing on the outer edge that led me to find the worn bush.
