A1 Sportback?

Any idea as to when we'll see this? The wife's never really forgiven me for trading in her Mini Cooper for my A6 Le Mans last year thinking that my old A4 B4 would be good for her and the kids. How wrong I was! Really like the A1 but need the practicality of rear doors

There hasn't been much in the press lately about the Sportback, but the rumours I've seen suggest a launch at a motorshow late this year, with deliveries commencing in 2012.

I've heard that too. Apparently its going to be at Frankfurt this Sept along with the Q5 hybrid and the next gen A3 hatch, sportback and cabriolet. There should be a A1 sportback and cab in the pipeline as they need a car like that to compete against BMW's mini.

We've had "sportback" as an option when starting G.F.F on 5051 for months, but generally we're the last to know, after all, we only repair them!!
