    hi
for the past week or so, the oil temp has gone down from 90c to 80c. this stays at this temp regardless of how long the car is driven for.
    anything to be concerned about?

Does the temp gauge move at all or does it stay at the bottom? What does the water temp gauge say?

    what do you mean?
i only have one gauge (the oil temp gauge- no water temp gauge)the it doesnt stay at the bottom. it goes just below half way (80c).
it obviously is at the bottom, when the car is cold, but as the car warms up, it gets to 80c. up until a week ago, this always went to half way i.e. 90c, but this has dropped now.
i just wasnt sure if this required looking at?

If there is only one gauge then it will be the water temp. As below:

    The left hand small dial.

If this is now not reaching 90 and staying there then either your coolant temp sensor is faultly or your thermostat is.
