Found out today that the dealer is 'waiting for it to land in the UK' - which is good news. Have asked them for a little bit more information but does anyone know how long it might take to be ready for collection - understand that customs can take anywhere between 2 days and 2 weeks. Dealer is still saying it is looking good for a delivery late April, we'll see...
Well mine recently arrived in the UK port and took less than a week to get shipped to the dealer & ready for collection.

Yes, I've never had xenons until my present car and they really do make a difference, even the road in front of the car in front of me seems yellowy-orange now ...

I think more of the leftpond versions have it, over here is it just the Q7 and A5 3.0TDIs that use it?

Nice selection, its always difficult to know what extras to choose, for example I ordered the allroad in December with Alcantara but shouldl I have the electric adjustment and £500 is a lot when it is only you who drives the car.

You say a May delivery, well I was promised June and that has now slipped to August!

Good luck, I hope you get your car sooner rather than later.
A4 Allroad heated, powered seats in Alcantara with leather armrests, metallic paint, privacy glass, high beam assist, xenon & adaptive lights, sound pack with tech pack high and phone prep low, tyre pressure monitor, power tailgate, keyless ignition, folding and dimming mirrors, lighting pack and parking advanced.

One piece of bad news though....I'm working away and so the missus is going to pick it up...cruel I know...

    Hi Everyone,

Thought I'd update everyone....well we picked it up yesterday (Thu). What a wonderful car!

Just to remind it is a:

A4 AVANT 2.0TDI 170 PS quattro technik in Bright Red. In addition to the usual SE equipment it includes: Sat Nav (HDD), Full leather, AMI, DAB, Parking Plus, Lighting Pack, Bootliner.

What a wonderful car to drive - handles incredibly well and even though it is 170 PS and quattro am already achieving 45mpg even though it only has 200 miles on the clock. The acceleration is great in any gear, still getting used to the stop-start system and need to train the voice system!

I'll post some pictures in the next couple of days - with the good weather it is covered in bugs so I need to give it a good clean first!

Now I need to update my sig!

    Great spec!

Though I do find the DIS is usually optimistic to the tune of 4mpg compared to calculating it from receipts, the speedo seems pretty damned accurate compared to GPS though, usually exact or 1mph low up to 70mph and 1-2mph low above 70mph ...

Consumption always seems optimistic in the car. I tweaked mine with VCDS so now it's pretty good.

You're not kidding with the speedo accuracy. Every car I've driven has read about 10% low - so when doing around 77 mph, the gps read 70 mph. Hence the whole '10% plus 2 mph' unofficial rule for the Police not stopping you. Even read once that speedos have to read above rather than under so you wouldn't accidentally do over the speed limit. With the A4 B8 the speedo seems almost spot on - did a 240 mile trip today and the wife was following in the other car and she commented that she was doing 75 mph when I had set the cruise to 70 mph.

Got 49mpg on the DIS so around 45mpg real life which I still think is good considering it only has 600 miles and is the quattro - didn't hammer it though, being a good boy and making sure I run it in (1500km the manual says)...must admit I do like being in 6th, going up a steep hill at 70mph and then being able to easily pull away swiftly without changing down.

And boy oh boy does the quattro help when travelling along the twisties
