    Default Odd locking problem – 07-02-2011,11:36 PM
    Hi all,

    I'm a new arrival to the site and I'm impressed!

    Currently the owner of a 1998 A4 Avant 1.9 tdi.

    Its developed a rather odd problem.

    Engine off, keys in the ignition, get out, close the door and a few seconds later the car locks itself, with the keys in the ignition!!

    Anybody have any ideas what's causing this?

    could be a faulty microswitch in the lock.
    The car doesn't know the door has been opened.
    I have changed lock modules on both the wife's TT and the daughters A3 for the same problem..
    A4 2.5 tdi QS (mapped)
