    I have a TDI 1.9SE 110bhp 1997 201K mileage.

There is a small leak of diesel coming from the fuel pump.

Someone has told me that it is the seal that is leaking and that you can purchase these from Audi.

But the same person has also told me that this is a difficult process if you do not know what you are doing.

Has anyone had this problem before and could anybody advise ?

    Cheers,

    Chris.

Which seal is leaking ? I hope is not the case seal on top of the pump-most common. If thats the problem then you need to get the pump set-up by a diesel specialist as most likely the new seals needs stretching over the case and will leak again. Taking it off will result in engine runaway ! People result in using biodiesel- this swells the seals and the leak stops for a while !

Do a search on tdi forum as they have a how to with pictures on changing the seals for the pump top case... Just be carefull. As i said, i would try some biodiesel first as this might sweel the seals...

Just thought I would post this....

Any one got a leak from the Diesel Injector Pump... Look and learn!!

This one of the cooling hoses which runs directly under the Fuel Injector Pump... Looks in a fair to good condition...

My fuel pump started leaking in the beginning of December... ONE MONTH LATER the hose looked like this!!

Luckily, I noticed this before the car lost too much water and before it got any hotter than normal...

If you decide to leave the fuel pump leaking onto the hose, don't be surprised if this happens to your motor or worse!!
