Electric Windows and lock not working - golf

HI,

I recently took my 03 1.4 Golf Match for an MOT. My car was picked up for me and since it has been returned i can no longer open the car with the button on the key and when in the car i cant open any of the windows from any of the buttons. Also, usually when i open the drivers side door when the lights are on i get a buzzing noise, this also has stopped. I have checked the fuses but they seem fine.

The garage which passed it for its mot are telling me it is nothing to do with them but i beg to differ.

Any ideas?

May be a VAG COM scan can sort this out.

If the battery has been disconnected, then it maybe things need resetting.

I am unsure what a vag com is and how/where i go about getting one. I live in Abergavenny, any ideas?
