Hi , i am a new member and this is my first post.

I've just purchased a 2003 A4 1.9tdi quattro, and when the engine is warm it seems to shake when at a standstill. It's ok when the engine is cold and pressing the clutch makes no difference! It has full Audi main dealer service history.
    Is this normal ?

    many thanks

    mick

Define "shake"? Do you mean it's idling roughly or too low-revs when warm but it's fine when it's cold?

    Cheers,
    Dan.

You need to have a fault code read to find out what is going on

Look at the rev gauge to see what the engine is doing. Could be any number of things, split vacuum pipe, clogged fuel filter, blocked injector, etc.

No it didnt make any difference re service and fuel filter or the injector cleaner. The mechanic checked the engine mounts and stated they were ok?
