Sat nav disc?

The good lady has just nicely had a 60 plate A4 2.0 tdi S-Line Avant off work for long term keepsies. Only certain boxes were ticked at the time of order due to cut backs etc. Nice motor, impressive bells and whistles but the only one which wasn't available to her was in built sat nav. My question is "can we get this working via a software disc or does it require computer trickery hardwired/fitted behind the dash in order to get it working?".

I'm not in the loop with these new fangled motors as my humble B6 A4 is 7 years old but much loved all the same. Not really a major drama if it's not possible as she has TomTom but I'm just guessing the screen which deals with phone/music on the centre of the dash is also the car's sat nav screen?
