Can anyone recommend a place to pick-up a vcds cable? lots of cheap ones on ebay but i think they are for older software & vehicles.

Hello Hartry, just been reading the VW fiasco that is Passat CC deliveries (or not) and I came across this thread. I ordered my CC in July, duly delivered in October so its the 2010 model for me. I was wondering if it is possible to change VCDS autoscan using what you have posted for the 2011 model.... your advice would be most welcome . Cheers, Steve.

VCDS (formerly known as VAGCOM) - a USB to car cable plus software for your laptop - or at least to know someone with one who would be happy to help, like myself!

Shouldn't matter that yours is a 2010 - the software should be aware of the modules in your car and able to program them (they are more similar to the old B6 Passat which it certainly works with). The reason I had to suss out te codes for the 2011 for myself is that it is so new that those modules are not built in to the software yet. Send me a PM if you want anything coding. I like lager ;-)

First thanks for providing the lable files.

With reagrd to the coming home lights on auto what coding did you change.

I changed byte12 bit2 to 0, however nothing.

test with the light switch set to auto

Having finally received my car today I can confirm that the label files I attached earlier in this thread appear to work, certainly the changes I made today all worked as expected, including: instruments to rest of world, comfort indicator 4 blinks, beep on lock/unlock, rain closing, ch/lh via rls, drl on/off in mfd, ata confirmation in mfd, coming home start at ignition off, cornering light with steering wheel only (not when indicating), flash hazard light on emergency braking.

Oh and instrument staging was already enabled on my car!? Wasn't expecting that.
