The immo will not stop the engine from turning over,it will start, only to stop again after a few seconds,i'am wondering if something has happened with the glow plug function, the oil light flashing is normal when the engine has been crancked and will not start think maybe you need a fault code read

Just had it checked but only on hand held computer shows no fault codes so that rules out any electrical faults

The mech suspects high preasure fuel pump but with out car in workshop can not check pressure

Can you hear the fuel pump, when you turn the ignition on?,even if there was something wrong with the high pressure pump,at the first attempt to start the engine would have started, and stopped again

The mech who came out only a lad took the fuel pipe off the filter and i turned the ignition on and fule came out
That what made hime think of the the high pressure Pump

    But did not sound convincing

When I tried to start it this morning it Did Not fire at all just spun over ?
The local Garage is a VAG repairer but has diagnostic
But can not do High Pressure Dieslel testing

He would have to change the pump and see!!!

No just same as normal but fires at first turn

Were is fuse 51 found 9 in engine bay fuse box but only goes to 29

F9 in engine bay is either sat nav or engine components depending on fuse box
Mine is 2ltr TDI but only has the 32 fuses fiited

There are 2 types of fuse boxes high box and low box and they vary according to year and engine code, looking at the options, the low box has 30 fuses and fuse 27 is for glow plugs, the high box has 54 and fuse 51 is for the glow plugs
