Hi guys, I recently played a CD-R disc and since then the machine will not read any of the 6 discs. A message comes up as CD error. Will an ordinary cd cleaning kit sort this problem out? Thanks, redman

if youve played a cd slightly thicker than the reccomended thickness, there is a chance you could have 'skimmed' the laser eye, causing it to not be able to read them, if i were you, double check the cds your using actually play in a normal hifi, then try them in your car, if they dont work in the car, you may have to have the head unit repaired.

Thanks eshrule. Sorry for the delay. I was away for a while. Tested the cd's on my home hi-fi, and they were ok. I have a gamma v head unit with a 6 cd thing behind in the boot. Which one of these needs to be repaired?

    Thanks,
    redman.
