Hi matey you can have the pair for 150 pounds (if you pay the postage from Germany), they are of no use to me, and I would prefer that a Member of the Forum got them, so that we might get some positive feedback on the conversion.

    Ok guys

So Im getting the headlights from Duncan.....

Can anyone else list what I need for the conversion?

Im guessing 2 bulbs, 2 Xenon ballasts, 2 LED ballasts and the kufatek loom....

Can anyone think of any cheap ways to get hold of any of these and is this all I need?

    Thanks
    Ian

Basically, is this kit all I need (apart from the kufatec loom)? (and is that a good price?)

Yep Duncan - its just so I dont confuse too many people on here

Do you know the part number of the bulb so I can order a like for like at the dealers here. Dont want to get one that burns at a different kelvin rating!!

Also, is this what they call a D3S system?

    Thanks!

    Ok,

So im nearly there now - the headlights should hopefully be with me today or on Monday....

The kufatec loom I expect Monday/Tuesday then the ballasts sometime next week....

My question is - how do I route the cabling for the Kufatec loom? Does anyone know where I can get through the firewall to get to the CECM and does anyone know where the CECM is on this car? Kufatec has I guide which i just spent an hour translating but this is for LHD cars so I dont know where the hell the CECM is(i'm expecting drivers footwell) or where to route the cabling to get to it!

Help on this is really appreciated!

Rather than go to all of this aggro, why not just fit some high end Xenon bulbs like Phillips Extreme. These are supposed to only be a tiny bit worse than the BI Xenons.

Well that would certainly be the easy way of doing things

I personally like coding/wiring/messing so its an awesome challenge for me! The plus side is that I managed to get the parts for very little money!

I was also mainly after the LED DRL's rather than the type of bulb because as you said, they aint that different.

Digging this back up but FINALLY I have received my bulbs and ballasts from america and fitted the lights yesterday (in pitch black darkness seeing its dark by 5am now

I have a little problem and I am really hoping that someone can help me out with this, because I will have to swap them back out if I cant

Lights are fitted, and everything is working well. I haven't yet routed the high beam wires into the CECM so I know that this comes up as an error and high beams dont work.....

The problem is that after fitting the lights, I coded in the DRL's, which now work fine (Thats changing byte 02 from 40 to 10) and I also ATTEMPTED to change the code in Byte 00 from 69 to 26 but this code is not accepted bye the central electrics (09) controller. This means that the car keeps complaining about the lights, and whilst they work, I need them coding in properly so all of the bulb errors stop coming up.

Does anyone have any clue as to why it will not accept this new code and does it mean that I need to possibly repalce the central electrics controller? I have a technik with all the goodies so I expect that it should be a high end controller anyway!

    Thanks
